Job summary

Element MEA is seeking an experienced Estimation & Design Engineer to join a UAE-based LV switchgear division. In this role you will manage estimation, costing and technical design of LV switchgear and electrical panels for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the UAE.

You will review enquiries, prepare technical and commercial estimates, compile BOQs/BOMs, select components, and develop panel SLDs and schematics while coordinating with procurement and project teams to

Qualifications

5–7 years UAE experience in LV switchgear estimation and design.
Experience with MDB, SMDB, FDB, MCC, ATS and APFC panels.
Read electrical SLDs, schematics and technical specifications.
Proficient in AutoCAD and electrical design software.
Strong MS Excel skills for estimation and costing.
UAE experience in switchgear manufacturing is essential.

Responsibilities

Review tender documents, specifications and electrical drawings.
Prepare technical and commercial estimations for LV switchgear and electrical panels.
Prepare accurate BOQs, BOMs and material take-offs.
Select appropriate switchgear components based on project specifications.
Prepare panel single-line diagrams (SLDs) and electrical schematics.
Develop panel layouts and assist with detailed engineering/design.
Coordinate with procurement, sales and project teams to ensure smooth execution.
Review technical submittals and respond to customer/consultant queries.
