Job summary

Al Shafar United in Dubai, UAE is seeking a Technical Design Engineer with 8–12 years in LV/MV switchgear design and manufacturing to lead the project engineering and design team.

You will review customer specifications, prepare GA drawings, schematics and BOMs, coordinate with Sales, Project Management, Procurement and Production, and ensure on-time delivery of engineering documents to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–12 years of LV/MV switchgear design and manufacturing experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD / EPLAN and similar electrical design software.
• Proven track record in technical submissions, design coordination, and project engineering.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project engineering and design team.
• Review customer specifications, drawings, and requirements during contract execution.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, GA drawings, schematics, BOMs, and material lists.
• Coordinate engineering activities with Sales, Project Management, Procurement, and Production teams.
• Issue approved engineering documents and drawings to production within project timelines.
