Job summary

Josephine, a waterfront Mediterranean restaurant at Rixos Premium Dubai in JBR, seeks a warm and confident Restaurant Receptionist to be the first and last point of contact for guests. You will set the tone for the Josephine experience from the moment a reservation is made until the guest leaves the restaurant.

Responsibilities include welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating with the service team, maintaining accurate guest profiles, and providing accurate information on menus,

Qualifications

• Experience as a Restaurant Hostess or guest relations role in premium dining or luxury hotel.
• Experience with reservation systems such as SevenRooms or OpenTable is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, grooming, and presentation.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to guest needs.
• Fluency in English; additional languages (Russian, Arabic, French or Turkish) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and set a tone of hospitality from reservation to departure.
• Manage reservations, enquiries, confirmations and special requests accurately.
• Maintain seating plans to optimise capacity while preserving guest experience.
• Coordinate with management and service team on table availability and arrivals.
• Handle waiting guests with professional updates and timely communication.
• Maintain guest profiles and notes in the reservation system.
• Recognise VIPs and special occasions and inform the team accordingly.
• Answer phone calls, emails and online enquiries professionally.
• Provide guests with menus, hours, dress codes and events information.
• Escort guests to tables and hand over smoothly to service team.
• Support guest relationship initiatives and collect feedback for management.
