Job summary

Josephine is a waterfront Mediterranean restaurant at Rixos Premium Dubai in JBR, inspired by the sea and maritime life. We’re seeking an elegant, warm and confident Restaurant Receptionist (Hostess) who will be the first and last contact for our guests.

You will set the tone for the Josephine experience from the moment a reservation is made until the guest leaves the restaurant. Fluency in English is essential; experience with reservation systems is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Premium restaurant service experience essential.
• Experience with reservation systems such as SevenRooms or OpenTable is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus.
• Previous UAE luxury dining market experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every guest warmly and create an immediate sense of recognition and hospitality.
• Manage restaurant reservations, enquiries, confirmations and special requests accurately and professionally.
• Maintain an organised seating plan to maximise capacity while protecting guest experience.
• Coordinate with management and service team regarding table availability and arrivals.
• Manage waiting guests professionally and provide realistic updates on table availability.
• Maintain accurate guest profiles and reservation notes in the system.
• Recognise returning guests, VIPs and special occasions and inform the team.
• Handle telephone, email and online enquiries with professionalism.
• Provide guests with accurate information on menus, hours, dress codes, events and experiences.
• Escort guests to tables and hand over smoothly to the service team.
• Support guest relationship and database-building initiatives.
• Maintain an immaculate reception area.
• Assist with guest feedback and escalate concerns promptly.
