Job summary

Anantara Hotels & Resorts in Abu Dhabi is seeking an A/C Technician to install, inspect, maintain and repair HVAC systems throughout the Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara. The role ensures efficient operation and guest comfort while complying with safety and environmental standards.

You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and support energy conservation initiatives. Shift work on weekends and holidays may be required to meet hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, HVAC, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of HVAC maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Able to read technical drawings, electrical schematics, and manuals.
• Experience with VRF/VRV, AHUs, FCUs, and other commercial HVAC systems is an advantage.
• Familiar with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service, maintain, and repair HVAC systems throughout the hotel.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on various HVAC units.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly.
• Inspect HVAC systems in guest rooms, public areas, and facilities.
• Clean and maintain indoor/outdoor AC units, coils, and lines.
• Check refrigerant levels, identify leaks, and manage refrigerant charging per regulations.
• Monitor performance and report abnormalities to the Engineering Supervisor.
• Keep accurate records of inspections and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with Engineering for spare parts and materials availability.
• Ensure work complies with regulations and safety standards.
• Handle refrigerants safely and dispose of materials properly.
• Support other Engineering tasks and maintain a safe environment.
• Contribute to energy conservation initiatives and suggest improvements.
