Job summary

Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, seeks a Telephone Operator to deliver efficient and courteous telecommunications while upholding Sofitel service standards. You will handle calls, assist guests, and maintain privacy and confidentiality in line with hotel policies.

The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience in a luxury hotel and strong English communication skills. This is a full-time on-site position within a luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Secondary education or relevant qualifications in Hotel Management.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, preferably within a four or five star hotel.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming and outgoing telephone calls accurately and courteously.
• Maintain smooth internal telecommunications in accordance with Sofitel standards.
• Record, control, and manage guest wake-up calls accurately.
• Assist guests with international calls and directory enquiries.
• Address guests by name whenever possible.
• Page hotel employees when requested.
• Maintain knowledge of local telephone listings and frequently dialled numbers.
• Follow hotel standards, policies, and procedures during emergencies, including fire, bomb threats, and other critical situations.
