Job summary

Six Senses The Palm, Dubai is seeking a Cost Controller / Business Analyst to monitor costs, prepare financial reports, and support budgeting within a luxury hotel setting. You will validate data from multiple hotel systems and work with Operations and F&B to understand cost drivers and KPIs.

The role offers on-site work in Dubai, with on-the-job mentoring to grow into a finance business partner position.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and professional accounting body certification.
Demonstrated experience in hotel or hospitality finance accounting roles.
Proficiency with MS Excel and hotel systems (POS, PMS, CRM) and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Assist with monitoring operating costs, payroll, and departmental expenses against budgets.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and variance analysis.
Collect, validate, and organize financial data from systems (PeopleSoft, POS, PMS, Excel, BI tools).
Support budgeting and forecasting exercises under supervision.
Assist with internal controls, audits, and compliance with finance policies.
Collaborate with Operations and F&B to understand cost drivers and KPIs.
Develop into a finance business partner role through on-the-job training and mentoring.
Control purchasing specifications to ensure best quality prices from reliable suppliers.
