Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai is seeking a Barista for the Noor Lounge to craft and serve coffee, non-alcoholic drinks, and teas with precision. You will train peers, maintain stock, and ensure consistent beverage quality while delivering MOHG’s Legendary Quality Experiences.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years’ luxury hotel bartending experience, English and Arabic communication skills, and a customer-first mindset focused on hospitality excellence.

Qualifications

• High School qualification or equivalent.
• Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management preferred.
• 3 years’ experience as Bartender in a high-end bar preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as bartender in a luxury hotel/resort.
• Verbal and written communication in English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Understand the outlet concept and explain offerings to guests.
• Mix and garnish drinks, train colleagues on standards and SDA updates.
• Interact with guests and recommend suitable drinks.
• Handle complaints and report to managers promptly.
• Set up daily bar counter and maintain mise en place.
• Ensure beverages, coffee, and teas are served in good order.
• Assist in creating new blended drinks for menus and promotions.
• Check daily inventory to prevent stockouts.
• Carry out monthly inventories with Bar Supervisor and managers.
• Check fridge temperatures and FIFO practices.
• Label products with correct dates and maintain cleanliness.
• Operate POS to process orders; assist cashiering if needed.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to avoid misunderstandings.
• Be a team player and support colleagues in tasks.
