Job summary

ALEC Holdings PJSC, via ALEMCO, seeks a Logistics Supervisor to oversee day-to-day site logistics, coordinate material movements, and ensure safe, efficient deliveries across projects in the UAE. You will work with Stores, Procurement, Site Operations, Suppliers, and subcontractors to plan, control, and execute logistics in line with project requirements and HSE standards.

• 5+ years of logistics or site logistics experience in construction or MEP projects.
• Knowledge of delivery coordination, material movement, laydown management, and HSE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site logistics activities across the project site.
• Coordinate movement of materials, equipment, and plant within designated areas.
• Plan and manage delivery access, routes, loading/offloading locations, and laydown areas.
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure deliveries reach correct locations on time.
• Monitor site access and logistics to prevent congestion and delays.
• Support implementation of project logistics plans and procedures.
• Coordinate incoming/outgoing deliveries with suppliers and transporters.
• Schedule and monitor delivery times in line with site requirements and access restrictions.
• Ensure delivery documentation and gate passes are available before movement.
• Supervise offloading activities and transfer materials to storage/work areas.
• Coordinate inter-site transfers and movement of oversized materials.

Are you an experienced logistics professional with a strong background in coordinating site deliveries, material movement, offloading, and logistics operations within construction or MEP projects?

We are looking for a Logistics Supervisor who can oversee day-to-day site logistics activities, coordinate material movements, manage delivery access and laydown areas, and ensure materials, equipment, and resources move safely and efficiently across our project sites.

You will work closely with Stores, Procurement, Site Operations, Suppliers, Subcontractors, and Project teams to ensure logistics activities are properly planned, controlled, and executed in line with project requirements and HSE standards.

About Your Team

Reporting to the Contract Stores Manager / Stores Manager, you will supervise site logistics activities and coordinate deliveries, material movements, access requirements, offloading areas, and logistics resources to support uninterrupted project operations.

Key Responsibilities

Site Logistics Coordination

• Supervise day-to-day logistics activities across the project site
• Coordinate the movement of materials, equipment, and plant within designated site areas
• Plan and manage delivery access, routes, loading and offloading locations, and laydown areas
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure materials are delivered to the correct locations at the required time
• Monitor site access and logistics arrangements to prevent congestion and operational delays
• Support implementation of project-specific logistics plans and procedures

Deliveries & Material Movement

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing material deliveries with suppliers, transporters, and site teams
• Schedule and monitor delivery times in line with site requirements and access restrictions
• Ensure delivery documentation and gate passes are available before material movement
• Supervise offloading activities and ensure materials are safely transferred to designated storage or work areas
• Coordinate inter-site and warehouse material transfers where required
• Support movement of oversized, heavy, or critical materials in coordination with relevant teams

Plant, Equipment & Lifting Coordination

• Coordinate the availability and movement of forklifts, cranes, telehandlers, and other logistics equipment
• Ensure lifting and material-handling activities are appropriately planned and coordinated
• Monitor equipment usage and support efficient allocation of logistics resources
• Coordinate with operators and site teams to minimize delays during loading and offloading activities

Site Access & Traffic Management

• Support implementation of site traffic and vehicle movement plans
• Coordinate access requirements for delivery vehicles and external transporters
• Monitor designated routes, loading zones, and laydown areas
• Ensure logistics areas remain accessible, organized, and free from unnecessary obstruction
• Support safe pedestrian and vehicle segregation where applicable

HSE & Compliance

• Ensure logistics operations are carried out in accordance with project HSE requirements
• Monitor safe loading, unloading, material movement, and storage practices
• Identify logistics risks and escalation concerns to relevant teams
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained within logistics and laydown areas
• Support HSE inspections, audits, and corrective actions relating to logistics operations

Coordination & Reporting

• Maintain logistics schedules, delivery trackers, and movement records
• Coordinate closely with Stores, Procurement, Construction, and Project teams
• Attend logistics coordination meetings where required
• Report delivery delays, access issues, resource constraints, and logistics risks
• Support preparation of daily and weekly logistics reports
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and transport providers regarding logistics requirements

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 5+ years of experience in Logistics, Site Logistics, Material Movement, or a similar role, preferably within construction or MEP projects.

Knowledge: Construction site logistics, delivery coordination, material movement, laydown management, access planning, offloading operations, traffic control, and HSE requirements.

Expertise: Site logistics coordination, delivery scheduling, material-handling operations, reporting, and Microsoft Office applications.
