Job summary

Archirodon Group N.V in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Logistics Officer to join our experienced Supply Chain team on one of our newly awarded UAE projects. You will manage shipments, coordinate with freight forwarders, and ensure on-time delivery of materials to site.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in supply chain or logistics, a minimum of five years in freight forwarding or project cargo, and strong English communication. A competitive salary and international EPC culture await.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in supply chain/logistics from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in freight forwarding or project cargo.
• Knowledge of customs rules and regulations for project cargo and import/export.
• Transferable IQAMA is a plus.
• Strong English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with sites and suppliers for shipment collection and delivery of materials.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, brokers & transporters to ensure smooth end-to-end shipments.
• Escalate shipping issues to concerned stakeholders promptly.
• Organize and control delivery of materials using the most efficient transport mode.
• Provide shipment visibility and traceability during project execution.
• Maintain and provide all necessary transport and customs documents for audits.
• Adhere to company IMS policies and procedures.
• Review logistics performance and implement continuous improvement measures.
• Ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.

Job description

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a Logistics Officer to join our top qualified and knowledgeable Supply Chain team in one of our newly awarded projects in UAE and support the Logistics Operations project.

Job Description

• Initiate and obtain Quotations from selected Freight forwarders, Transporters & Customs Brokers with specific reference to a shipment
• Prepare import / export documentation as assigned and required
• Liaise with different sites and suppliers for shipment collection and delivery of material
• Liaise with freight forwarder, brokers & transporters to ensure smooth shipment from start till end
• Escalate shipping issues to concerned stakeholders as soon as they arise
• Organize and control delivery of material, equipment, parts etc. from vendor’s origin to project siteby deploying most efficient transportation mode (land, sea or air), and by utilizing established frame agreements with Service providers at the balance of safety, costs and time.
• Provide effective shipment visibility and traceability at all time during project execution
• Provide to the service provider in charge of shipment (forwarding agent, carrier, etc.) all instructions and documents required for a successful execution
• Administer and retain transport/shipping and other statutory documentation i.e. custom forms, exemptions, approval etc. to meet audit and legal requirements
• Work to approved logistics procedures and processes in accordance to AGNV policy and other requirement within the Company’s Integrated Management System (IMS)
• Review logistics performance and activate close-gap or mitigation measures to ensure continuous improvement across the function
• Ensure rules and regulations of Customs and other regulatory bodies are being fully adhered to for all permanent and temporary importation/exportation of materials, equipment and parts for project consumption
• Provide estimate and recommend logistics costs as required by the project
• Fulfill System documentation and data entry requirements for effective record keeping and reporting
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to uphold and secure AGNV Integrated Management System (IMS) and processes and procedures.

Qualifications

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics (Preferred from a recognized/ reputed University)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the same field preferably in freight forwarders handling project cargo
• Preferred – Specific knowledge of Customs rules & regulations, project cargo, freight forwarding Good Awareness about import / export requirements of material and equipment to/from Saudi Arabia
• If you have a transferable IQAMA the better
• Ability to do verbal and written communication in English (Working excellence)

What it is nice to have:

• Previous work experience in EPC industry, Import / Export company or multinational Freight Forwarding company.
