SPM™ Oil & Gas, a Caterpillar company, is a leading global provider of pressure pumping and pressure control products and services for the oil and gas industry. Operating through regional service and distribution centers, we enable customers to achieve productivity, operational efficiency, safety and environmental goals in demanding oilfield operations. We deliver top-performing, high-quality and reliable pressure pumping, flow control and wellhead equipment for various oilfield applications and provide comprehensive services including repair, refurbishment, inspection, testing, certification and rental.

Role Purpose

Lead and manage logistics operations at one of the company’s principal service and distribution hubs serving customers across the Middle East, Africa, Caspian region and Asia. Ensure operational efficiency, exceptional customer service, full regulatory compliance and uncompromising safety standards in logistics operations.

What You Will Do
Operations Management
  • Oversee goods flow: receiving, checking, storage, packing, dispatching and loading.
  • Manage documentation flow: import/export customs documentation, commercial invoices, bills of entry, packing lists, etc.
  • Maintain accurate data flow: internal ERP and external system entries.
  • Track operational KPIs and prepare management reports.
Process Optimization
  • Analyze logistics processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement process and resource optimization plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate KPIs for continuous improvement.
Supplier Management
  • Liaise with external logistics service providers (freight forwarders, transportation companies, customs brokers, etc.) to ensure effective performance, issue resolution, cost efficiency and process improvement.
Customer Support
  • Communicate with customers regarding delivery, collection, shipping documentation, permits and specific requirements.
Team Leadership
  • Assign and monitor work tasks, track and evaluate performance, provide support, feedback and coaching.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Safety
  • Monitor, challenge and improve work processes from a safety viewpoint.
  • Identify and eliminate potential safety risks and hazards.
  • Promote and instill a strong safety culture within the team.
Compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to all applicable customs, export control, trade and other regulations, external and internal documentation and reporting requirements.
Top Candidates Also Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in logistics operations, preferably with a large logistics company in retail or fast-moving B2B sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and documentation: transportation, warehousing, import/export and international trade, including GCC customs regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Regional experience in the Middle East with strong cross-cultural awareness.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and logistics software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Strong supplier management capabilities.
