Job summary

Responsibilities

• Establish contact with suppliers and agents for cargo collection after alignment with the Brand team.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders to arrange collection for import and re-export shipments.
• Follow shipments through to final delivery at the warehouse or stores.
• Request freight quotations from different service providers for ad hoc shipments.
• Prepare freight quote comparisons to support shipment arrangements.
• Maintain a detailed logistics tracker with current shipment information.
• Validate customs BOE and freight invoices before submitting them to Finance for payment processing.
• Ensure invoice documentation is processed on time to prevent avoidable shipment disruption.
• Process BOE documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Coordinate COO and SASO certification applications through the relevant service provider.
• Arrange Customs Inspection and ADM bookings.
• Collect delivery orders and other required original documentation from shipping and air lines.

Objective

The Logistics Coordinator will provide operational support for brand shipments from cargo collection through customs clearance and final delivery. The position requires regular coordination with suppliers, agents, freight forwarders, service providers, shipping and air lines, internal brand teams, and Finance to ensure documentation and logistics activities are completed without unnecessary shipment delays.

Shipment Coordination

The role supports the movement of goods across inbound, outbound, and re-export activities. This involves maintaining close follow-up with freight forwarders and service providers while keeping internal brand stakeholders informed of shipment status, documentation requirements, customs processes, and delivery progress.

Customs and Documentation

Accurate documentation is central to the position. The Logistics Coordinator will handle BOE processing, coordinate required certificates and customs activities, validate logistics invoices, maintain shipment records, and obtain original documents required for cargo clearance and delivery.

Key Working Relationships

The position works closely with Brand Managers, Merchandisers, Logistics Executives, Managers, suppliers, agents, freight forwarders, service providers, Finance teams, shipping lines, and air lines.
