Position Objective

The Logistics Coordinator will support brand teams with the movement of goods from cargo collection through customs processing and final delivery. The position requires close coordination with suppliers, agents, freight forwarders, internal teams, and customs-related platforms to move shipments within the required lead time while considering transportation costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact suppliers and agents to arrange cargo pickup following alignment with the Brand team.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders for the collection of import and re-export shipments.
• Follow shipments through to delivery at warehouses or stores.
• Request freight quotations from multiple service providers for ad hoc shipments.
• Prepare freight quote comparisons to support transportation decisions.
• Facilitate inbound and outbound stock movements using cost-efficient transportation methods and the earliest practical lead time.
• Generate shipping documents for outbound shipments to GCC destinations.
• Prepare required shipping documentation for local exports from the UAE.
• Validate customs BOE and freight invoices before submitting them to Finance for payment processing.
• Ensure customs and freight invoices are processed promptly to prevent shipment delays.
• Process BOE documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Arrange customs duty payments for applicable inbound and outbound shipments.

Customs and Shipping Coordination

The role supports the customs and documentation requirements associated with the movement of merchandise. This includes processing Bills of Entry, coordinating customs duty payments, preparing outbound shipping documentation, and maintaining follow-up with freight partners until goods reach the required warehouse or store.

Freight and Cost Coordination

For ad hoc shipments, the Logistics Coordinator will obtain quotations from different service providers and prepare comparisons. Shipment planning should balance transportation cost with the requirement to move stock within the earliest possible lead time.

Key Working Relationships

The position works closely with Brand Managers, Merchandisers, Logistics Executives, the Manager - Central Logistics, suppliers, agents, freight forwarders, Dubai Customs, Dubai Trade, Finance, and other parties involved in shipment processing and delivery.
