Job summary

InterContinental Hotel & Residences Abu Dhabi seeks a friendly, professional Lobby Hostess to warmly welcome residents and guests, provide personalized assistance, and maintain a polished lobby presence. You will collaborate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and other departments to ensure seamless service while upholding brand standards.

The role emphasizes guest relations, exceptional service, and attention to detail within a luxury hotel/residence setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in guest-facing roles in luxury hotels or serviced residences is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional attitude.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong customer service skills with aptitude for handling inquiries professionally.
• Excellent grooming and presentation in line with luxury standards.
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work with multiple departments and in a team.
• Proactive, positive problem-solving approach.
• Good spoken and written English; extra languages are an advantage.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome and greet residents, guests, and visitors upon arrival.
• Provide exceptional service in line with InterContinental brand standards.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming lobby presence at all times.
• Assist with inquiries, directions, and information about facilities and services.
• Recognize regular residents and VIP guests with personalized attention.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security and others for smooth operations.
• Handle resident requests and complaints with prompt follow-up and resolution.
• Assist with transportation, luggage coordination, and guest services as needed.
• Keep lobby clean, organized, and well-presented at all times.
• Monitor guest flow following security and access procedures.
• Share important guest feedback and updates with relevant departments.
• Support special events, VIP arrivals, and resident activities as required.
• Protect resident privacy and deliver professional service.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety and grooming standards.
• Promote a positive, welcoming atmosphere for an exceptional experience.

Every day is different, but you will mainly be responsible for:

• Warmly welcome and greet residents, guests, and visitors upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Provide exceptional customer service and personalized assistance in line with InterContinental brand standards.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming presence in the lobby at all times.
• Assist residents and visitors with inquiries, directions, and information about residence facilities and services.
• Recognize regular residents and VIP guests, providing personalized attention and assistance.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Handle resident requests, concerns, and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt follow-up and resolution.
• Assist with transportation arrangements, luggage assistance coordination, and other guest services when required.
• Ensure the lobby area is clean, organized, and well-presented at all times.
• Monitor guest and visitor flow while following residence security and access procedures.
• Communicate important guest feedback, requests, and operational updates to the relevant departments.
• Support special events, VIP arrivals, and resident activities when required.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality while delivering professional service.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, grooming standards, and service guidelines.
• Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring every resident and guest enjoys an exceptional experience.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in Guest Relations, Front Office, Reception, or a similar customer-facing role, preferably within a luxury hotel or serviced residences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Excellent personal grooming and presentation in line with luxury hospitality standards.
• Good organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with different departments and as part of a team.
• A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
• Good command of spoken and written English; additional languages will be an advantage.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
