Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts, InterContinental Residences Abu Dhabi, seeks a friendly Lobby Hostess to greet residents and guests, provide exceptional hospitality, and maintain a professional lobby presence consistent with luxury standards. • Good organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

• Good command of spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome residents, guests, and visitors upon arrival.
• Provide exceptional service in line with InterContinental standards.
• Maintain a welcoming lobby presence at all times.
• Assist with inquiries, directions, and information about facilities and services.
• Recognize regular residents and VIP guests for personalized attention.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security and others for smooth operations.
• Handle resident requests and complaints with prompt follow-up and resolution.
• Assist with transportation, luggage and other guest services as required.
• Ensure lobby is clean, organized and well-presented.
• Monitor guest flow and adhere to security procedures.
• Relay guest feedback and operational updates to relevant departments.
• Support events, VIP arrivals and resident activities as needed.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality while delivering service.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures and grooming standards.
• Promote a positive, welcoming atmosphere for an exceptional guest experience.

Every day is different, but you will mainly be responsible for:

• Warmly welcome and greet residents, guests, and visitors upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Provide exceptional customer service and personalized assistance in line with InterContinental brand standards.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming presence in the lobby at all times.
• Assist residents and visitors with inquiries, directions, and information about residence facilities and services.
• Recognize regular residents and VIP guests, providing personalized attention and assistance.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Handle resident requests, concerns, and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt follow-up and resolution.
• Assist with transportation arrangements, luggage assistance coordination, and other guest services when required.
• Ensure the lobby area is clean, organized, and well-presented at all times.
• Monitor guest and visitor flow while following residence security and access procedures.
• Communicate important guest feedback, requests, and operational updates to the relevant departments.
• Support special events, VIP arrivals, and resident activities when required.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality while delivering professional service.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, grooming standards, and service guidelines.
• Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring every resident and guest enjoys an exceptional experience.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in Guest Relations, Front Office, Reception, or a similar customer-facing role, preferably within a luxury hotel or serviced residences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Excellent personal grooming and presentation in line with luxury hospitality standards.
• Good organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with different departments and as part of a team.
• A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
• Good command of spoken and written English; additional languages will be an advantage.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
