Job summary

Rixos Al Mairid in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our Laundry team. You will wash, dry, iron and fold linens, towels and uniforms while maintaining high hygiene and presentation standards across the property.

You will operate commercial laundry machines, sort laundry by fabric type, treat stains and ensure timely pickup and return of items. Collaboration with housekeeping is essential to keep the guest experience flawless.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality is an advantage.
• Familiarity with commercial laundry machines, detergents, and stain removal techniques.
• Attention to detail in inspecting laundry for stains and quality control.
• Physical stamina to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads.
• Strong teamwork and ability to collaborate with housekeeping and laundry teams.
• Effective time management to complete duties efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate washers, dryers, and ironing equipment to clean and maintain hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry.
• Sort laundry by fabric type and color, inspecting items for stains, damages, or special cleaning requirements.
• Treat stains and ensure proper washing techniques are applied to maintain fabric quality.
• Fold, stack, and organize clean linens, towels, and uniforms for distribution.
• Handle guest laundry requests, ensuring timely pickup, washing, ironing, and return of items.
• Monitor linen and uniform inventory, reporting shortages or damages to the Laundry Supervisor.
• Ensure laundry machines and equipment are in proper working condition and report malfunctions.
• Follow hygiene, safety, and chemical handling procedures in line with hotel standards.
