We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Library Assistant to join our team in Dubai. As a Library Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to the librarians and helping to maintain the library's collection and services.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain library materials, including books, journals, and audio-visual resources
• Assist patrons with finding and checking out materials
• Process new acquisitions and prepare them for circulation
• Maintain accurate records of library transactions using a computerized system
• Assist with creating displays and promoting library events and programs
• Help with cataloging and classifying materials according to standardized systems
• Conduct basic reference interviews to determine patrons' information needs
• Provide basic technology assistance to library users
• Collaborate with other library staff to plan and implement programs for all ages

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
• Fluency in English is required
• Experience working in a library setting is preferred

Salary: 1400$ per month

This position is open to Pakistani nationals living in Dubai or willing to relocate. Freshers are welcome to apply but previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
