Job summary

We are looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated librarian for our library in Dubai. The successful applicant will join a growing team and be responsible for the efficient management of the library’s resources, including book selection, cataloging, and circulation.

The successful candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field, with at least two years of experience in a library setting. Knowledge of library software systems is an asset. The ideal candidate should also possess excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills; have excellent attention to detail; be able to work independently; and be able to work well with people from diverse backgrounds.

The Librarian will be responsible for promoting library services to patrons; providing reference services; selecting books for purchase; creating and maintaining a collection development policy; creating reports regarding collections usage; assisting with the maintenance of the library’s electronic databases, catalogs, and webpages; supervising staff members assigned to the library; coordinating workshops and events related to library services; keeping current with trends in library science and technology; and performing other duties as required.

We offer a competitive salary of 1100 (USD) per month plus benefits. We are open to considering foreign applicants who are eligible for employment in Dubai.
