Progressive in Dubai seeks a Group Legal Counsel to lead transactional and regulatory matters for a diversified energy group. Based in the Dubai office, you will provide practical legal support across transactions, projects and operations, aligning contracting, governance, compliance and risk management with business growth.

You will report to the VP, require 7-10 years PQE in top law firms and in-house roles, with Oil & Gas experience.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years PQE in law (top law firm and in-house experience)
• Oil & Gas/energy sector experience is essential
• Fluent in English; Arabic and French advantageous

Responsabilités

• Provide practical legal support across transactions, projects and operations while safeguarding the Group's legal, regulatory and reputational interests.
• Drive contracting, governance, compliance and risk management to enable business growth.
• Oversee legal matters from inception to completion and manage external counsel.

A well established, diversified energy group are seeking to appoint a Legal Counsel to be based in their Dubai office.

The role reports to their VP.

Must have requirements:

7-10 years PQE in law having worked for both a magic circle law firm and in-house experience.

Oil & Gas, energy sector experience is a must

Fluent in English is a must, with Arabic and French language fluency is an added advantage.

Education:

Law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a well recognised university

Master's degree (LL.M.) is advantageous

Role Summary

Provides practical legal support across transactions, projects and operations, safeguarding the Group's legal, regulatory and reputational interests while enabling business growth through effective contracting, governance, compliance and risk management. Oversees legal matters from inception to completion, including management of external counsel.
