Job summary

Aldar Education in Abu Dhabi seeks a dedicated teaching assistant to support students across the classroom and beyond, helping them engage with the American curriculum and participate fully in school life.

You will assist in implementing education plans, monitor progress, support health and safety, and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to foster a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary school certificate required.
• At least two years of experience in a school setting.
• English language or the language used in the curriculum is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for individual pupils inside and outside the classroom to enable participation in activities and well-being.
• Be proactive in health and safety matters.
• Assist in implementing individual education programmes and monitor progress.
• Support pupils with additional needs and help develop social skills.
• Assist class teachers with maintaining pupil records.
• Prepare and present displays of pupils’ work.
• Support with photocopying and other tasks to support teaching.
• Attend meetings and work with other professionals as necessary.
• Undertake other duties as required by the principal.
