Job summary

Aldar Education is seeking a dedicated Inclusion Assistant for Al Danah Charter School in Abu Dhabi. You will support individual pupils and small groups, assist with IEP goals, and help learners develop social and communication skills in line with the school’s values and policies.

Working closely with homeroom and subject teachers, you will help prepare resources, monitor progress, and promote independence while maintaining records and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• SEN qualification (Diploma) required.
• At least 2 years SEN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for individual pupils, within a group context or individually, both inside and outside of the classroom to enable full participation in activities.
• Be proactive in health and safety.
• Assist in implementing individual education programmes linked to IEP goals and monitor progress.
• Support pupils with additional needs (academic, physical, emotional, behavioural) and help develop social and communication skills.
• Assist homeroom and subject teachers with pupil records.
• Prepare resources to differentiate curriculum access for identified pupils.
• Promote independence by teaching clear strategies to students.
• Attend required training sessions and meetings and communicate with teachers regularly.
• Understand other duties as requested by Head of Inclusion.
