Qualifications

• Minimum secondary school certificate.
• At least two-year experience in a school setting.
• English language skills according to the school curriculum.
• UAE National with a minimum secondary school certificate / Bachelor’s.
• Previous experience working with students whose English is not their first language.
• Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
• A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children.
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra‑curricular activities.
• Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background.
• A positive and solution‑focused attitude to working life.
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for individual pupils / groups of pupils inside and outside the classroom to enable participation in activities and support social, emotional and physical well-being.
• Be proactive in matters relating to health and safety.
• Assist in implementing individual education programmes and monitor progress.
• Support pupils with additional support needs and help develop social skills.
• Assist class teachers with maintaining pupil records.
• Prepare and present displays of pupils’ work.
• Support teachers in photocopying and other tasks for teaching.
• Comply with health and safety requirements and school policies.
