Emerson in Dubai is seeking a Global Project Pursuit Leader to drive winning strategies for its most strategic global projects. You will lead a multi-disciplinary pursuit team with internal resources and world-area support, guiding proposal development, negotiations and project execution handoffs.

You are a high-energy, collaborative professional with a track record of winning large-scale capital projects and navigating complex multi-BU environments.

Qualifications

Job Summary

If you are an expert Global Sales Professional looking for an opportunity to grow Emerson may have that opportunity for you! You will be responsible for winning the most strategic and sophisticated global projectsfor Emerson. You are that rare individual that is both a highly self-motivated hunter and highly collaborative. The qualified strategic projects that you will take on can be in traditional markets like the Hydrocarbon or Chemical Industries but also in upcoming markets like Metals & Mining or Sustainability & Decarbonization. You will represent the entire Emerson Portfolio supported by a team of Emerson business unit or functional professionals from multiple world areas.

As Global Project Pursuit Leader you will have an external focus in front of customers as well as an internal focus in Emerson as an overall leader of the multi-disciplinary pursuit team. You will mostly work in a matrix; setting a clear vision and winning strategy for your assigned projects lead the sales activities and perform extensive communication with all relevant collaborators.

In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Develop the strategic sales pursuit plan and structure of the core team required to successfully win the pursuit.
• Leading all internal and external project pursuit resources vital to win the assigned project; handling all internal resources including world area sales divisional sales proposal resources project execution teams executive management and local business partners.
• Leading all aspects of the development of sales strategy; forging relationships with defined end users partners and engineering contractors; having direct involvement throughout the project pursuit lifecycle including sales pursuit proposal generation / submittal and contract negotiation and then involvement with the project execution delivery start-up/ commissioning and final project hand off.
• Applying a pre-defined project pursuit methodology including opportunity qualifications and screening (ORB Process) sales team assignments communications planning sales strategy developments executive management involvement and reporting proposal planning competitive analysis customer business analysis risk analysis and mitigation and pursuit success probability.
• Improve our Project Win ratio while winning at a premium price based on a differentiated reason and customer value creation and understand the overall Emerson platform profitability guidelines on the global pursuits.

For This Role You Will Need:

• 10-15 Years sales & project wins track record & experience with in-depth multi-discipline project relatedproduct services and solutions knowledge
• Experience and proven track record in selling and winning large & complex multi-million dollar projects which involve sensing final control elements control systems operational layers business systems integration layers data analytics Operator Training Simulation Process Optimization Asset Management Reliability solutions & Enterprise Operations Software etc.
• Confirmed leadership and management skills
• Ability to work across diverse multi-BU and geographicalteams
• Experience leading businesses and teams to win with a sales volume in excess of $50M annually
• Strong understanding of project management and execution fundamentals
• Strong written and verbal communications skills in English and preferably other international languages is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of professional selling techniques for large capital projects. This requirement will include previous training and extensive experience with Strategic Selling Solutions Selling Programs Consultative Selling presentations negotiations conflict management communications planning and global sales leadership
• Knowledge of the following industries: Oil & Gas Upstream and Midstream Processes; LNG Basic Refining Processes; Basic Petrochemical Process Life Sciences Operations; Metals & Mining and Sustainability & Decarbonization
• Dedication high energy cultural agility and cross border collaboration
• Capable of researching how each customer is measured and ability to develop an appropriate Emerson value proposition
• Understand contracting strategies execution practices and measurements with global engineering contractors

• Ability to travel extensively including internationally and on short notice
