Job summary

Wood is seeking a PMC Lead Weight Control Engineer (SPB) for offshore Gas Cap facilities in the UAE. You will establish and manage the Weight Control Plan, lead weight engineering across FEED to installation, and ensure CoG targets are met through accurate data and reporting.

Applicants bring 15+ years in instrumentation and control within oil and gas, with offshore project experience in the Middle East and proficiency in SPI/AVEVA tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering within oil and gas.
• Proven experience on ADNOC offshore projects or similar Middle East offshore developments preferred.
• Strong design engineering for offshore facilities including topsides, jackets and modules.
• Knowledge of instrumentation systems, SIS, fire & gas, and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Weight Control Management Plan for offshore facilities.
• Lead weight engineering activities across EPC/EPCM/PMC phases and verify CoG calculations.
• Maintain Weight Control Register and monitor weights of equipment, structure, piping, and electrical systems.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure accurate weight inputs and reporting.
• Review EPC and vendor weight methodologies and perform weight reconciliation.
