Job summary

Airswift seeks a Lead Weight Control Engineer with extensive offshore experience to lead weight control procedures, CoG analysis and weight growth tracking across project phases from concept to EPC. You will coordinate with multiple disciplines, review inputs, and drive weight optimization on major offshore platforms and brownfield works.

Top candidates will have 15+ years in offshore Oil & Gas, 10+ years in weight control reporting, and strong skills in Excel, Power BI and related software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Project Weight Control Procedure.
• Develop Weight Breakdown Structure.
• Establish Weight Contingency philosophy per project phase.
• Develop and implement weight growth monitoring/tracking mechanisms.
• Evaluate CoG for items and define CoG envelopes for sensitive structures.
• Assess Lifting, Transportation and Installation CoG requirements.
• Coordinate with all disciplines for weight and CoG data.
• Review/validate discipline weight inputs for accuracy.
• Review discipline deliverables and collect weight data.
• Review Technical Queries, Site Queries, and MOC requests for weight impact.
• Participate in MOC reviews and identify weight impacts.
• Assess weight limiting scenarios and define NTE values.
• Support weight optimization initiatives.
• Prepare and issue Weight Control Reports, Weight status, Growth Registers, Forecast reports.
• Coordinate with Marine Warranty Surveyor on weight-related requirements.
• Develop weight databases; skills: MS-Excel, Power BI, Navisworks, SACS; familiarity with ADNOC, ARAMCO, QP/QG reporting practices.

Lead Weight Control Engineer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree
• Master’s Degree (Not mandatory)
• Experience Minimum 15+ years of experience in Offshore Oil and Gas Projects
• Minimum 10+ years of dedicated experience in Weight Control Reporting activities
• Experience in developing and maintaining Weight Control Reports throughout all Project Phases from Concept to EPC and for all applicable design phases (Loadout, Transportation, Lifting, Operating phases).
• Experience in Fixed Offshore Platform Jacket & Topsides weight reporting;
• Proven experience in managing weight budgets and weight growth control on major Offshore Projects
• Experience in Brownfield Projects
• Experience in Offshore Bridges, Flare structures, Modules
• Strong Inter discipline coordination, client interactions and interface management skills
