Job summary
Actemium Emirates Projects (AEP), part of Cegelec Abu Dhabi and VINCI Energies Oil & Gas, seeks a Lead System Engineer to drive the GE Mark VI to Mark VIe turbine control upgrade on a major Oil & Gas facility in Abu Dhabi. You will lead engineering, system integration, FAT/SAT, commissioning, startup, and performance testing.
The role requires a strong background in GE turbine control, DCS and compressor control integration, with readiness to mobilize for shutdowns and field activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Oil & Gas control and automation systems; 15+ years preferred.
- Experience with GE Mark VI/VIe migration
- Experience with FAT/SAT, site commissioning, startup support and brownfield upgrades.
- Willingness to mobilize to site for shutdowns, commissioning and testing.
Responsibilities
- Lead migration and upgrade of GE Mark VI to Mark VIe turbine control systems.
- Review control logic, sequencing, protections, alarms and cybersecurity compliance.
- Interface with DCS, ESD, F&G, compressor and generator controls, and third-party packages.
- Lead FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup activities and shutdown execution.
- Develop migration, cutover, and startup strategies to minimize downtime.
