Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Lead Systems Specialist - Industrial Refrigeration to join the MEA Design and Engineering team.

You will guide projects from tender review to commissioning, delivering technically sound and commercially balanced solutions. You will collaborate with sales, operations, CAD support, customers, consultants, and subcontractors to develop robust designs, perform calculations, prepare cost estimates, and oversee documentation for execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
Five years of experience designing industrial refrigeration systems or large, complex systems.
Strong knowledge of refrigeration design principles, equipment selection, and concepts.
Experience with technical calculations, cost estimates, process diagrams and submittals.
Ability to review tender documents and support start‑up and commissioning activities.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel/Visio) and basic Windows OS.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Review tender documents and support clarifications during pre‑sales.
Conduct site surveys and participate in technical meetings with customers and teams.
Prepare calculations, load estimates, and quotations text.
Develop process flow diagrams, layouts, submittals, and design briefs with CAD support.
Lead detailed engineering development and review drawings and specs.
Support start‑up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover.
Coordinate with sales, operations, procurement, and supply chain to support project success.
