Job summary

GE Vernova in Dubai is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to lead substations and balance of plant design for large HV projects. You will manage engineering activities, schedules, safety, risk, and quality, coordinating with customers and project managers.

The role involves preparing single-line drawings and layouts, producing specifications and data sheets for HV equipment, and supporting bids by estimating man-hours and equipment needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSEE preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Transmission & Distribution substation engineering.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%, including international travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BSEE strongly preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Transmission & Distribution substation engineering
• Experience as an Electrical Project Engineer in substation applications including primary design
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%, including international travel

Preferred Qualifications

• PE License or P.Eng License in the United States
• In-depth experience with North American standards (IEEE, ANSI, NEC, NESC)
• Experience with GE GIS equipment
• Knowledge of HV/MV equipment such as reactors, capacitors, transformers, and breakers
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, BIM, and Revit
• Experience with EPC or EEP project execution
