Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Structures Lead to oversee all aspects of large-scale structural steel construction. You will manage a team, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires extensive experience in heavy steel construction, strong knowledge of welding standards, and familiarity with UAE regulations and international codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; master's preferred.
• 20+ years in structural engineering and construction management with at least 5 in leadership.
• Expertise in heavy steel project management and on-site coordination.
• Knowledge of UAE regulations, safety codes, and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all structural steel erection and fabrication on-site per specs and drawings.
• Lead a team of site personnel and maintain a culture of safety and excellence.
• Conduct daily site inspections to verify structural integrity and welding standards.
• Develop detailed project schedules, progress reports, and documentation.
• Coordinate with design engineers, project managers and clients to resolve issues.
• Manage equipment, machinery, and material inventory on-site.
