Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and to lead the kitchen team in delivering high-quality, timely dishes.

The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years in a senior culinary role, strong knowledge of modern techniques, and a passion for innovative plating. Expect a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and cost control.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years in a senior culinary role (Sous Chef or similar).
• Proficient in modern culinary techniques and contemporary cuisine.
• Creative plating with strong eye for detail.
• Ability to lead, train, and develop a multicultural kitchen team.
• Strong knowledge of food cost, portion control, and menu planning.
• HACCP and kitchen safety knowledge is essential.
• Hospitality or culinary qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth service.
• Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely food preparation.
• Focus on modern techniques and presentation to elevate dishes.
• Support menu development and introduce creative dishes based on current trends.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, HACCP, and kitchen safety.
• Monitor food costs, portions, stock, and wastage; control budgets.
• Train and develop junior kitchen staff and mentor the team.
• Ensure creative and consistent plating aligned with restaurant standards.
