Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Sommelier to join the Beverage team at the Delilah Supper Club. You will greet guests, guide wine selections, and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure exceptional service in a luxury resort setting.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of wine service experience, basic sommelier certification, and strong English communication. On-site role with shift-based scheduling and opportunities to lead wine-related classes.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years and regulatory compliance for alcohol service.
• 1–2 years of wine service experience in fine dining or luxury settings.
• Fluent in English; additional languages beneficial.
• Ability to present wine lists and manage beverage program elements.
• Familiarity with POS systems and handling cash/card transactions.
• Knowledge of hygiene and allergen awareness in hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner with eye contact and intention.
• Communicate guests’ needs to co-workers, kitchen staff, and management.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings and contribute to team briefings.
• Demonstrate mastery of wine, beer, and cocktail offerings.
• Build relationships with guests to encourage repeat business.
• Follow standard service procedures and beverage service sequences.
• Assist with beverage inventory checks, wine lists, and stock control.
• Update inventory locations and bin labels for wines moved.
• Train staff on wine service, knowledge, and presentation.
• Periodically lead wine/beverage-related classes.
