Job summary

Penspen in Abu Dhabi is seeking a dynamic Lead Project Engineer with extensive PMC experience to lead multidisciplinary engineering activities. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and compliant with client and regulatory requirements.

The role covers FEED and Detailed Engineering, EPC phases, greenfield and brownfield upgrades, and interfaces with clients, licensors, vendors, and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities during FEED and Detailed Engineering phases.
• Manage engineering scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resources for terminal and facilities upgrade projects.
• Ensure engineering designs comply with client specifications, international codes and standards, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines, clients, licensors, vendors, and third-party consultants.
• Lead design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, constructability, and value engineering workshops.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, technical queries, material requisitions, and vendor documents.
• Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up by resolving engineering issues and managing design changes.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution.

The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary engineering activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities during FEED and Detailed Engineering phases.
• Manage engineering scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resources for terminal and facilities upgrade projects.
• Ensure engineering designs comply with client specifications, international codes and standards, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines, clients, licensors, vendors, and third-party consultants.
• Lead design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, constructability, and value engineering workshops.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 17+ years of oil & gas experience in the oil and gas industry.
• 5+ years in PMC projects
• Solid background in multi‑discipline engineering team EPC project.
• Experience managing FEED, detailed design, and EPC project phases.
• Strong experience in greenfield & brownfield terminal and facilities upgrade projects.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP certification and Middle East/GCC project experience are preferred.
