Job summary

Penspen Ltd in Abu Dhabi is seeking a dynamic Lead Project Engineer with extensive PMC experience to lead multidisciplinary engineering activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

You will manage FEED and Detailed Engineering phases, oversee scope, schedules, budgets and resources for terminal and facilities upgrade projects, and coordinate interfaces with clients, licensors, vendors and third-party

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 17+ years of oil & gas experience.
• 5+ years in PMC projects.
• Experience in FEED, detailed design and EPC phases.
• Strong background in greenfield & brownfield terminal and facilities upgrades.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities during FEED and Detailed Engineering phases.
• Manage engineering scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets and resources for terminal and facilities upgrade projects.
• Ensure engineering designs comply with client specifications, international codes and standards, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines, clients, licensors, vendors, and third-party consultants.
• Lead design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, constructability, and value engineering workshops.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, technical queries, material requisitions, and vendor documents.
• Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up by resolving engineering issues and managing design changes.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities during FEED and Detailed Engineering phases.
• Manage engineering scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resources for terminal and facilities upgrade projects.
• Ensure engineering designs comply with client specifications, international codes and standards, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines, clients, licensors, vendors, and third-party consultants.
• Lead design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, constructability, and value engineering workshops.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, technical queries, material requisitions, and vendor documents.
• Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up by resolving engineering issues and managing design changes.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 17+ years of oil & gas experience in the oil and gas industry.
• 5+ years in PMC projects
• Solid background in multi‑discipline engineering team EPC project.
• Experience managing FEED, detailed design, and EPC project phases.
• Strong experience ingreenfield & brownfield terminal and facilities upgrade projects.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP certification and Middle East/GCC project experience are preferred.
