Job summary

Penspen Ltd in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior I&C & Automation/Telecom Engineer with strong PMC experience to join our team. You will oversee instrumentation, control, automation, and telecom activities across FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, and brownfield projects.

Key tasks include reviewing deliverables, designing field instrumentation and DCS/PLC/SCADA systems, participating in HAZOP and SIL/LOPA studies, coordinating with vendors and multidisciplinary teams, and supporting procurement,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering.
• 15+ years of oil & gas experience in the oil and gas industry.
• 5+ years in PMC projects.
• Strong background in multi-disciplinary EPC engineering teams.
• Experience with greenfield & brownfield terminal and facilities upgrades.
• GCC/Middle East oil & gas project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate Instrumentation, Control, Automation, and Telecom engineering activities for FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, and brownfield projects.
• Prepare, review, and approve engineering deliverables including instrument datasheets, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, cable schedules, control narratives, cause & effect charts, and system architecture drawings.
• Design and specify field instrumentation, control valves, analyzers, DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD, F&G, and SIS.
• Participate in HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, FAT, SAT, and design review workshops.
• Review vendor documents and provide technical support during procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure successful project execution.
• Support site surveys, brownfield modifications, troubleshooting, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Ensure engineering activities are completed in accordance with project quality, HSE, schedule, and budget requirements.

• Participate in HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, FAT, SAT, and design review workshops.
• Review vendor documents and provide technical support during procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure successful project execution.

Requirements:

• Solid background in multi‑discipline engineering team EPC project.
• Experience supporting procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Strong experience ingreenfield & brownfield terminal and facilities upgrade projects.
• GCC/Middle East oil & gas project experience is preferred.
