Job summary

Penspen is hiring an experienced Senior Civil & Structural Engineer in Abu Dhabi with strong PMC experience. You will lead civil and structural engineering activities for FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, and brownfield projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and international standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Structural Engineering and 15+ years in oil & gas, including 5+ years in PMC projects, with GCC/Middle East experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate civil and structural engineering activities for FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, and brownfield projects.
• Prepare, review, and approve civil and structural deliverables including design calculations, foundation designs, structural steel, concrete structures, drainage, roads, paving, and underground utilities.
• Perform structural analysis and design for industrial buildings, pipe racks, equipment foundations, platforms, shelters, retaining walls and other oil & gas facilities.
• Review geotechnical and topographical reports and incorporate findings into civil and structural designs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration with other disciplines.
• Review vendor drawings, contractor submissions, and provide engineering support during procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Participate in constructability reviews, HAZID, design reviews, and project risk assessments.
• Conduct site visits, condition assessments, and support brownfield modifications and facilities upgrades.

• Review geotechnical and topographical reports and incorporate findings into civil and structural designs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure effective integration of civil and structural designs with other disciplines.
• Review vendor drawings, contractor submissions, and technical queries, providing engineering support during procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Participate in constructability reviews, HAZID, design reviews, and project risk assessments.
• Conduct site visits, condition assessments, and support brownfield modifications and facilities upgrade projects.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed in accordance with project quality, HSE, schedule, and budget requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil & Structural Engineering,
• 15+ years of oil & gas experience in the oil and gas industry.
• 5+ years in PMC projects
• Solid background in multi‑discipline engineering team EPC project.
• Experience supporting procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Strong experience ingreenfield & brownfield terminal and facilities upgrade projects.
• GCC/Middle East oil & gas project experience is preferred.
