Job summary

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company is seeking an experienced engineer to manage and control production process discipline aspects of major works from conception through handover to operations.

You will review layouts, control schemes, data sheets, and engineering packages, lead site execution, and provide technical guidance to operations to ensure safe, efficient projects and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 6 years of experience in process/major works

Responsibilities

• Leads major works from initiation to closeout to impart sites operational experience for development and execution of major works scope, goals and deliverables.
• Reviews layouts, control schemes, specifications, O&M studies, plot plan, 3D model; interfaces with engineering disciplines and provides inputs for detailed engineering activities.
• Resolves technical and execution issues which conflict within Major works execution plans, implementation and site operations.
• Reviews and comments on engineering packages for Major works comprising scope of work, data sheets, schedules, load lists, technical proposals, engineering estimates, startup and commissioning procedures as relevant.
• Manages site execution in production and process discipline and supports site management to ensure safe operations to achieve production targets.
• Identifies and recommends solutions for interface problems, minimizing scope changes that might impact cost and schedule.
• Participates in site surveys, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and decommissioning of new projects and provides technical advice to plant operations.
• Coordinates with site teams for optimum participation and updates major works developments to site operations team.
• Develops Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrument Diagrams, Utility Flow Diagrams; performs sizing calculations and flow summaries.
• Reviews proposals and engineering estimates for studies and major works to be handled by outside consultants or contractors.
