Job summary
Enerflex Ltd. is seeking a Chemical Engineer with extensive oil and gas experience to lead process design activities for complex energy projects in the Abu Dhabi region.
The role involves developing design basis, equipment data sheets, PFDs, P&IDs and process control philosophies, while coordinating with drafting, vendors and project teams to ensure quality, safety compliance and on-time delivery on challenging, multinational projects.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Oil & Gas industry.
- Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree.
- Design experience with gas and liquids production equipment and facilities.
- Proficient with process design/simulation tools: Hysys, Promax, Protreat, Flarenet, HTRI.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and email.
Responsibilities
- Develop process design basis and data sheets for equipment and instruments.
- Prepare inputs for PFDs, P&IDs and plot plans; coordinate with drafters.
- Carry out equipment sizing calculations and system hydraulics.
- Prepare operating and control philosophy documents.
- Support proposals through vendor inquiries and bid analysis.
- Lead safety reviews (HAZOP/HAZIP/SIL) with clients.
- Collaborate with project management, engineering and manufacturing.
