Job summary

Eaton Technologies in Dubai seeks a Maintenance Engineer specialized in mechanical automation to lead reliability programs for high-volume stamping and forming equipment.

The role scopes include developing maintenance plans, conducting RCA, and deploying predictive maintenance practices with condition monitoring to minimize downtime and extend asset life. You will collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in industrial automation and metal stamping, bending and welding industries is expected.
• Knowledge of cam-controlled machines like Bihler, Wafios, Finzer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, and corrective) to ensure equipment reliability and production continuity.
• Improve equipment reliability by analyzing downtime, MTBF, and MTTR, and implementing corrective actions.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA, A3, 5 Why) for mechanical failures and eliminate recurring issues.
• Optimize maintenance plans, inspection routines, lubrication strategies, and overhaul intervals to minimize downtime.
• Own the mechanical performance of critical automated manufacturing equipment, including cam-controlled forming and assembly machines and plastic injection molding machines.
• Work closely with production, toolmaking, and engineering teams to improve machine stability and process performance.
• Deploy predictive maintenance practices using condition monitoring, wear analysis, and failure trends.
• Support equipment commissioning and industrialization, ensuring readiness for serial production.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment lifetime.
• Standardize maintenance processes, documentation, and technical guidelines.
• Provide technical guidance on complex mechanical issues and support troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with toolmakers, engineers, and OEMs to resolve issues, implement improvements, and support upgrades.
