Join Our Team at Eaton: Empowering Tomorrow, Today!
This role is based in Dubai, a strategic hub for Eaton’s Middle East operations.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies for mechanical systems, including preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance approaches to ensure equipment reliability and production continuity.
- Drive equipment reliability improvement, analyzing downtime, MTBF and MTTR, identifying mechanical failure modes and implementing corrective and preventive actions to improve machine availability.
- Lead structured root cause analysis (RCA, A3, 5 Why) for mechanical failures across cam‑controlled systems, injection molding equipment and automated production lines, ensuring sustainable elimination of recurring issues.
- Data driven definition and technical optimization of maintenance plans and standards, including inspection routines, lubrication strategies, wear part replacement and overhaul intervals for mechanical components to ensure optimal functionality and minimum downtime.
- Own mechanical performance of critical advanced automated manufacturing equipment, including:
- Cam‑controlled forming and assembly machines
- Plastic injection molding machines (mechanical systems, clamping units, cooling systems)
- Collaborate with production, toolmaking and engineering teams to improve machine stability, cycle time consistency and overall process performance.
- Define and deploy predictive maintenance approaches, using equipment condition data, wear analysis and failure trends to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Support equipment commissioning and industrialization activities, ensuring mechanical robustness, maintainability and readiness for serial production.
- Drive continuous improvement of mechanical systems, focusing on reduction of breakdowns, improvement of equipment lifetime and stabilization of manufacturing processes.
- Standardize maintenance processes and documentation, ensuring consistent application of maintenance practices and technical guidelines across equipment.
- Provide technical support for complex mechanical issues, guiding maintenance technicians in troubleshooting without taking over execution activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners (toolmakers, engineers, OEMs) to resolve technical issues, implement improvements and support equipment upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics or a similar qualification.
- Min 3 years of experience in industrial automation.
- Knowledge of Cam‑controlled machines like Bihler (preferred), Wafios, Finzer.
Skills:
- Experienced in CAD, SPS, HMI‑Systems; advantageous: programming skills.
- Quick comprehension, continuous learning, willingness to work shifts.
