Azizi Developments in the United Arab Emirates seeks a lifting engineer with strong knowledge of crane operations, lifting equipment, rigging, load calculations, and lifting plans for construction and industrial projects. You will prepare and review lifting plans, coordinate with site teams, inspect equipment, ensure compliance with UAE standards, and investigate incidents to drive safe, efficient lifting operations.

5–8 years of relevant experience and UAE/GCC exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of lifting engineering, crane operations, or heavy lifting experience.
• UAE/GCC lifting operations experience preferred or mandatory depending on project requirements.
• Strong knowledge of crane capacities, load charts, rigging, and equipment limitations.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, review, and verify lifting plans, method statements, risk assessments, and procedures for routine and critical lifts.
• Perform lifting calculations including load weights, crane capacity, lifting radius, and load distribution.
• Select cranes, lifting equipment, rigging accessories, and configurations based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, operators, riggers, and lifting supervisors for safe execution.
• Inspect ground conditions, access routes, overhead obstructions, and underground services for lifts.
• Ensure lifting gear (slings, shackles, hooks, ropes, spreader beams) is certified and suitable.
• Review third-party certificates and ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop safe lifting procedures aligned with plans and safety requirements.
• Provide guidance to lifting teams on arrangements and safe practices.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings before critical lifts.
