Job summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead the service team. You will oversee day-to-day operations for heavy-duty truck maintenance, allocate work to technicians, monitor progress, and ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, and at least 7 years in workshop operations with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years in workshop operations, truck maintenance, servicing, or repair.
• Experience supervising technicians, mechanics, service advisors or apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workshop operations for heavy-duty truck maintenance, servicing, and repair.
• Allocate jobs to technicians based on workload and expertise.
• Monitor progress, delays, and ensure timely completion.
• Support achievement of revenue, gross margin and productivity targets.
• Review repair and service reports for accuracy and quality.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure repairs meet standards.
• Guide technicians on complex diagnostics and maintenance needs.
• Supervise and train workshop staff including apprentices.
• Conduct safety briefings and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Prepare daily/weekly performance reports.
