Job summary
Siemens Energy in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Lead Winder to perform advanced generator field service activities, including stator and rotor winding work, during outages and overhaul projects.
You will work independently and with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior members while developing toward technical leadership.
This role requires travel and strong English communication to support global field service projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in generator winding on large turbo generators.
- Strong knowledge of winding construction, insulation systems, and repair methods.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and fix issues.
- Ability to work independently and in multicultural field service teams.
- Electrical Engineering degree with strong English communication and travel willingness.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced generator field service activities during outages, installation, overhaul and rewinding projects.
- Execute stator and rotor rewinding, rewinding repairs, brazing, insulation work, and component refurbishment.
- Support generator testing, disassembly and reassembly with testing engineers and mechanical teams.
- Provide technical leadership through troubleshooting, documentation, and mentoring junior team members.
