Job summary

Siemens Energy in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced vibration engineer to assess dynamic behavior and vibration performance of turbine-generator systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (required).
• 5+ years of experience in vibration analysis, condition monitoring, diagnostics and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.
• Strong expertise in turbine-generator vibration diagnostics including FFT, time waveform, orbit, spectral analysis, rotor balancing and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead vibration diagnostics and troubleshooting for turbine-generator systems, identifying root causes such as imbalance, misalignment, resonance, looseness, and bearing-related issues.
• Perform advanced vibration analysis using FFT, time waveform, orbit, and spectral analysis to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Support commissioning, startup, and acceptance testing by assessing vibration performance and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct continuous condition monitoring, trend analysis, and predictive diagnostics to detect early signs of mechanical degradation and support proactive maintenance planning.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, provide engineering recommendations, and collaborate with customers, site teams, and engineering functions to resolve critical machine issues.
• Perform onsite and remote vibration measurements using specialized diagnostic tools, monitoring systems, and historical operational data to evaluate equipment condition and optimize asset performance.
