Saverglass in the United Arab Emirates seeks an IS Machine Specialist to ensure production and changeovers, optimize performance, safety, and quality across state-of-the-art manufacturing IS machines. The role involves supervising changeovers, tracking process parameters, and driving improvements.

You will coordinate with maintenance and hot end teams, report production output, and train staff to ensure defect-free output and adherence to quality standards.

Formación

• Significant IS Machine background (>5 yrs) in a hands-on role (blow and blow, or press and blow).
• Technical knowledge of thermal, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics.
• English spoken, understood, and written.
• Familiar with IT tools.
• Analytical skills.
• Safety and quality orientation, teamwork abilities.
• Leadership skills for supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise all product changeovers to maximize quality and ramp-up performance.
• Track operating standards on key manufacturing parameters (forehearth temperature, feeder mechanisms, IS Timer settings, equipment moves, lehr infeed, surface treatment).
• Monitor quality and performance losses; take immediate improvement actions.
• Provide hands-on technical problem-solving support.
• Interpret defects and provide solutions to avoid defects during production.
• Coordinate between IS Maintenance and Hot End teams during job changes.
• Provide production output reports when required.
• Ensure safety standards are followed; train colleagues accordingly.
• Supervise IS operators & Hot End Engineer; perform random quality checks.
• Ensure finished product quality via communication with cold end sorters and adherence to procedures.
• Lead operations when defects are detected; document actions with sheets and New Qualiglass software.
• Devise and conduct training programs for hot end staff.
• Maintain strong communication with cold end, Mould Shop, IS Maintenance and Batch & Furnace.
• Explain past and coming events, results, required actions, and priorities; propose solutions.
• Ensure standard setup check lists are available.
• Agree to perform other tasks for plant efficiency.
