Job summary

Emerald Zebra - Recruitment & Executive Search seeks a hands-on Head of Trading Risk Engine in Dubai, with exceptional remote candidates considered. You will own risk rules, exposure hedging and payout economics for a crypto-perpetuals prop firm expanding from trading infrastructure into retail trading.

Lead live-exposure decisions, quantify risk, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to enable ambitious products through pricing and controls.

Qualifications

• Five-plus years in trading risk, dealing or similar; live-exposure ownership matters more than tenure.
• Experience in funded trading, retail FX/CFDs, crypto derivatives, prop trading or market-making.
• Knowledge of perpetuals, leverage, margin, liquidation, funding, microstructure, and hedging.

Responsibilities

• Own trading book risk appetite and exposure by instrument, strategy, cohort and correlated group.
• Manage funded-account rules, payout reviews, liability forecasts and reserves.
• Classify profitable, toxic, fraudulent, coordinated, and correlated traders.
• Decide to simulate, internalise, match or hedge; manage venue relationships and market-makers.
• Oversee margin, liquidation circuits, breakers, monitoring, incident response and future risk/dealing team.
