Job summary

Wtsenergy is seeking a Contract Manager (Oil & Gas) to lead negotiation management and administration of subcontracts across the Middle East. You will ensure commercial and contractual protection of the company’s interests through thoroughly negotiated agreements and oversee subcontractors’ technical, commercial and contractual obligations to meet schedule, cost and quality targets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in contract or subcontract engineering roles in the Oil & Gas or EPC industry.
• Solid understanding of contract law, subcontracting strategies and claims management.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with standard forms of contract (FIDIC, LOGIC, etc.) and bespoke agreements.
• Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Define contract strategy aligned with project execution objectives.
• Lead contractual negotiations with bidders and assistPurchasing Officers on milestones, bank guarantees and other commercial aspects.
• Oversee subcontractor management, including supervising the Subcontract Engineer and ensuring contract compliance.
• Monitor execution of contracts, track deliverables, payment schedules and deadlines.
• Lead change, variations and claims assessment and negotiation with stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks across the contract lifecycle.
• Interface with project management, procurement, cost control and legal teams.
• Prepare periodic contract status reports and maintain documentation and trackers.
• Mentor Subcontract Engineers and promote good contract management practices across teams.
