Job summary

KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team seeks a Lead Civil Engineer to manage and coordinate civil/structural activities for an offshore island project in the UAE, with plans to relocate to Spain before returning to Abu Dhabi.

The role requires deep experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, and EPC execution for offshore assets, with a strong emphasis on ADNOC standards, safety, and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required; master's preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification advantageous.
• Minimum 15–20 years of Oil & Gas, EPC or offshore project experience.
• At least 5 years in a lead or supervisory engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural design for offshore facilities.
• Manage engineering deliverables: civil design basis, structural calculations, foundation design, concrete and steel structures, utilities and drainage.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
• Review and approve drawings, specs, and reports; ensure ADNOC and international standards compliance.
• Interface with clients, consultants, EPC contractors and vendors.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to civil/structural engineers.
• Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and site activities.
• Participate in HAZID/HAZOP, constructability reviews and design reviews.
• Monitor progress and ensure deliverables meet schedule and budget.
• Address technical queries and resolve issues during execution.
