Job summary

Khatib & Alami in Dubai is seeking an experienced Lead Site Architect to lead architectural supervision for major building construction projects. The role focuses on consultant-side site supervision with a track record in luxury villas, high-rise towers, and large-scale developments.

You will manage site supervision activities, review drawings and submissions, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality, schedule, and compliance with codes and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience in architecture and building construction.
• Strong experience in construction supervision and site-based architectural works.
• Proven experience with luxury villas and high-end residential developments.
• Dubai project experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage architectural site supervision activities throughout the construction phase.
• Supervise architectural works for luxury villas, high-rise towers, and major building projects.
• Monitor contractors’ works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Review architectural shop drawings, material submittals, samples, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure architectural works are executed to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and other disciplines to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Monitor construction progress and identify potential delays, quality issues, and non-compliance.
• Review and respond to RFIs, technical queries, and site instructions.
• Ensure architectural works comply with project specifications, approved materials, and applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate closely with Structural, MEP, Civil, and other project teams.
• Lead and guide site architects and other architectural supervision staff.
• Prepare and review site reports, inspection reports, snagging lists, and other project documentation.
• Support the Project Manager/Resident Engineer in achieving project quality, schedule, and delivery objectives.
• Ensure all architectural works are completed in accordance with approved designs and project requirements.

• Strong knowledge of architectural construction, finishing works, materials, and quality control.
• Experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, clients, and multidisciplinary consultant teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, material approvals, and inspection procedures.
• Excellent communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Dubai project experience is highly preferred.
