Job summary

AESG is seeking a Senior Site Architect in Dubai to lead architectural works during construction, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes. You will provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with structural, MEP, and specialist teams to achieve high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years' post-graduate experience in architectural site supervision.
  • Minimum 5 years' UAE/GCC experience on large-scale building projects.
  • Experience working within an engineering consultancy or multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE Building Codes and authority requirements.
  • Experience on commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed-use and high-rise developments.
  • Professional registration is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Independently conduct inspections of architectural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements and applicable standards.
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, method statements and as-built drawings for architectural works.
  • Monitor architectural finishes, façade works, waterproofing, roofing, ceilings, partitions, flooring, glazing, joinery and fit-out works.
  • Ensure all architectural works comply with project quality standards and manufacturer installation requirements.
  • Prepare and issue NCRs, Site Observation Reports (SORs), Snag Lists and RFIs where required.
  • Monitor contractor quality control procedures and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Review architectural interfaces with structural, MEP and specialist systems to ensure coordinated construction.
  • Verify compliance with approved samples, mock-ups and material specifications.
  • Attend site coordination meetings and provide technical guidance on architectural matters.
  • Review contractor progress and identify potential programme risks affecting architectural works.
  • Coordinate inspections with local authorities where required.
  • Monitor testing and commissioning activities related to architectural systems and finishes.
  • Ensure defects are recorded, monitored and closed out before project handover.
  • Maintain daily site records including inspections undertaken, observations, decisions and contractor activities.
  • Coordinate closely with Structural Engineers, MEP Engineers, HSE Engineers and Site Inspectors to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Support the Resident Engineer in resolving technical and construction-related issues.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Site Inspectors and junior engineers.
  • Promote continuous improvement and best practice throughout the project.

Job Purpose

The Senior Site Architect is a senior member of the site supervision team responsible for leading and coordinating all architectural works during the construction phase. The individual acts as the technical authority for architectural site supervision, ensuring that construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, contract requirements, applicable codes, quality standards and statutory regulations. The role supports the Resident Engineer in the successful delivery of the project by providing technical leadership, managing contractor performance, mentoring junior team members and ensuring the highest standards of quality, workmanship and coordination are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.


Qualification And Experience
