Job summary

Accor is seeking a Laundry Attendant for Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi to uphold luxury 5-star standards. You will efficiently process linen, uniforms and guest laundry, ensuring hygiene and quality in a high-end resort environment.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to operate laundry equipment safely are essential. Prior hotel laundry experience is preferred; candidates must be able to work shifts in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in hotel or commercial laundry preferred.
• Experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of laundry operations, fabric care, stain removal, washing, drying, ironing and pressing.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Good physical fitness with ability to stand for long periods and lift/move bags of laundry.
• English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, count, and classify hotel linen, uniforms, guest laundry and other fabric items.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, ironing machines, presses and other laundry equipment safely.
• Inspect items for stains, damage and quality before and after washing.
• Apply appropriate washing, stain-removal, drying, pressing and finishing techniques.
• Fold, press, package and distribute clean linen and uniforms to departments.
• Process guest laundry and dry-cleaning items accurately within turnaround time.
• Maintain separation of clean and soiled linen to ensure hygiene and prevent cross-contamination.
• Report damaged, stained or missing items to Laundry Supervisor promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry area, equipment and storage.
• Follow health, safety, hygiene, chemical-handling and environmental policies.

Job Description

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality processing of all hotel linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and other fabric items. The role requires excellent attention to detail, knowledge of laundry operations, and a strong commitment to maintaining the high standards expected in a 5-star luxury hotel.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, count, and classify hotel linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and other fabric items according to established procedures.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, ironing machines, presses, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect all items for stains, damage, and quality before and after the washing process.
• Apply appropriate washing, stain-removal, drying, pressing, and finishing techniques according to fabric type and hotel standards.
• Fold, press, package, and distribute clean linen and uniforms to the appropriate departments.
• Process guest laundry and dry-cleaning items accurately and within the required turnaround time.
• Maintain proper separation of clean and soiled linen to ensure hygiene and prevent cross-contamination.
• Report damaged, stained, or missing items to the Laundry Supervisor promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, equipment, and storage areas.
• Follow all hotel health, safety, hygiene, chemical-handling, and environmental
